That said there are a few things that should be added\/fixed. Such as there is no online multiplayer... which there definitely should be! I also wish there was a team customization feature\/player creation where you can change skills of players. Fix wise I've noticed it's almost impossible to score with a regular quick wrist shot or slapper. 90% of the time I'll score only from a rebound or a deke, even on the worst rated goalies its ridiculous. And another thing that annoys the\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665outa me is that sometimes my checks don't register against the ai when I'm using a heavy hitter with 98 checking and the ai doesn't spin or anything yet my hit does nothing. That being said these are just minor things, this game deserves a solid 8\/10 would be 9\/10 if there was online like I said but as is $10 is just right for a quick, simple, fun game. Comparing this to Old Time Hockey (Bush Hockey League) and it just will not, cannot compare to this gem.The game is easy to pick up, being a NHL Hitz fan i found an exploit for easy goals as you had to with Midway games, and this game has that same feel. One on one with the way you change lines is VERY refreshing especially with arcade hockey games. The atmosphere is fantastic as well. Overall great game.. While looking for more "Local Multiplayer" games with full controller support I came across this little gem. I fired it up, tested that both controllers work and they did straight away out of the box. I also tested the gameplay mechanics, fighting etc. and it feels GREAT! I am SURE this is going to be a huge hit this Christmas when family is here. I foresee MANY good times with this great little game! Highly recommended!. Great game, no bugs yet and very addictive.. I'm not a hockey fan, but I am a fan of sports games so I picked this up. My main takeaway from it is that the gameplay itself is pretty fun, but I guess unsurprisingly for a game at this price point, there's not a lot of depth outside of that.Best suited as a multiplayer game to have fun with friends, so it's a shame it's only local multiplayer. There is a knockout tournament mode where each round is a seven game series, which is quite fun to play alone, but it's not something you'll get a huge amount of mileage out of.There are fights that happen during the games which I found super tedious. I'm not sure exactly how they're triggered, but some games barely have any while others are littered with them. It got to a point where I was just letting my player get knocked out just to get it over with quicker. Again, this is probably something that would be more fun with friends, but even then I feel like it's only taking time away from the actual hockey part of the game, which is infinitely more fun.It's missing a team\/player creation aspect that feels like it belongs here. The generic teams aren't very interesting.As I said, the hockey part is really fun. It's satisfying to score goals, and there's a fun surprise if you get a hat trick. If you're looking for a couple of hours of mindless fun while you listen to a podcast, there are definitely worse ways to spend your money.. Pros.I would recommend this game if you enjoy playing alone, or having a friend over to play with you. The game gives you an arcade feel, and fun to mess around on. Cons.The only con to this game is there is no online multiplayer. If there was online multiplayer the price of the game would be justified.. Great game, no bugs yet and very addictive.
